I upgraded my Gallery install today from 1.3.4 to 1.4.1. The new version of this online photo gallery software is really great. There are a lot of new features that will make Gallery much easier to use for community web sites. More important to me was that a lot of the quirks/bugs in the configuration wizard were fixed. The new UI skins also look great.
I’ve also updated my notes for installing Gallery on a shared server at DreamHost, the company I use to host this website.
If you’re looking for a company to host your website and you want lots of features, great reliability, friendly support, and cheap prices, I highly recommend DreamHost. I’m not just saying that because I want you to sign up and use me as your referrer so that I can get a 10% commission. Oh no, nothing so base as that. Honestly, though, you should use DreamHost, even if you don’t tell them that I referred you.
So how do we get to see your Gallery? I have a homemade picture web site (which I was generally satisfactory), but it could stand improvement….
