Earlier I postulated that local TV reveals all you need to know about another culture. Okay, so if you don’t buy that one, surely you will agree with me that hotel room minibar snacks are the key to unlocking the true nature of the people from other lands.
I found these fine, tasty snack treats in the minibar of our hotel in Munich, The Country Inn by the Frankfurter Ring. I cannot attest to the edibility of any of these delectable meal accompaniments, though I was strongly tempted to rip open the Texas Barbecue flavor Taccos.
Although I dare to attribute the selection of these items to someone from Germany, it’s quite possible that someone else back in the home office in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, is the mastermind behind the offerings.

I don’t get it. What’s your point. You make an assertion, but you don’t explain its significance. What’s so special about having Pom-Bär, Chio, and Tacco chips? I think it’s a selection that any number of people can come up with. And what does Minneapolis have to do with the chips?

The Taccos are the most relevant. This snack appears to be labeled in the German equivalent of Japanese Engrish. The snacks themselves appear to be mini onion rings. The drawing, though, shows kebobs on a grill, not onions being fried. Then, of course, is the name. Assuming it is a misspelling of tacos, what do tacos have to do with anything else in the picture? Tacos are Mexican food, not US American food.
The significance of Minneapolis is that it is the home office for the hotel chain.
