I use linux on my home desktop, and all the machines in my classroom, yet got a macbook last fall and am quite warm and cuddly with mac osx right now, including my 50 GB mp3 library. Most of it was ripped to mp3 using grip on ubuntu, but now I just use itunes. I loathe drm on my music, and own none, but will sometimes download drm'ed video (like battlestar episodes), knowing that I will just delete it after one viewing.

I played with ogg for a while, but didn't marry the idea, altough I appreciate its efficiency and philosophical highground. Apple should really embrace it as an open standard, and build it into ipods and itunes, since they've expressed the desire to escape drm, whether that was a political move or not...
